The 2009 Toyota Camry’s base 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine provides 158 hp and is linked to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. The engine earns Ultra Low Emission Vehicle-II (ULEV-II) certification for the Camry and is rated at 21 mpg city/31 mpg highway with either transmission. Also available in the LE, SE and XLE models is a 3.5-liter ULEV-II-certified V-6 engine that pumps out 268 hp through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
It is rated at 19 mpg city/28 mpg highway by the EPA.

22 mpg city/31 mpg highway for the 4-cylinder engine with the manual transmission and 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway for the V-6 coupé, also with the manual transmission. All three Accord engines meet the stringent standards for a Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle (PZEV).
