يا اخوان قام القراصنة الصوماليون باختطاف سفينة تحمل 2405 سيارات, منها 2388 سيارة تابعة لشركة هيونداني و كيا. و قد اجابت شركة هيونداي على سؤال من يتحمل الخسارة فذكرت: "بأنه ما ان تغادر السفينة المحملة بالسيارات فان كافة المخاطر التي تتعرض لها السفينة هي من مسؤولية الموزع، وقالت هيونداي في رسالة على البريد الالكتروني ردا على بلومبرغ. "جميع مبالغ الشراء للسيارات قد دفعت ، و بأن السيارات مؤمن عليها أيضا."

Ship hijacked last week carrying 2388 Hyundai/Kia cars

A vessel carrying vehicles from Hyundai and its sister company was hijacked by Somali pirates last week. The ship, known as Asian Glory and operated by EUKOR Car Carriers, was hijacked on New Years day while on its way to Saudi Arabia after departing from Ulsan.
According to statement today from South Korea’s Ministry of Land, and Maritimes Affairs, the vessel was carrying a total of 2,405 vehicles including 2,388 from Hyundai and Kia.
“As soon as the vessel embarks, all risks related to the vessel are the responsibility of the distributor,” Hyundai said in an e-mailed response to Bloomberg. “All payments for the have been made, while the cars are also insured.”
The hijacking of the vessel was among the first successful attacks on merchant ships in the 500-mile security corridor since July.
Hyundai and Kia have asked for a quick and safe return of the crew, the Korean automaker said
