بسبب تعاقد شركتي نيسان وكريسلر حول تشارك واندماج خط انتاجهما معا لبعض سيارات الشركتين
يتوقع بحسب الاخبار التي اشيعت بأن يضاف للجيل القادم الـNissan Titan عام 2011 بمحرك هيمي مقتبس من نفس محرك Dodge Ram 150 الجديد لعام 2009 المزود بـ8 سلندر مع 5.7 لتر بقوة 380 حصان ..
وستنتج السيارة عبر مصانع كريسلر في المكسيك قبيل حلول 2011 .
وبحسب موقع PickupTrucks ان الامر مازال مجهولا حول هذا الامر وهو مجرد حديث بين الشركيتين رغم التكتيم حول الجيل القادم وايضا وحول تسويقها في المستقبل تحت مشكلة ارتفاع البنزين في امريكا .

The Nissan Titan pick-up was first introduced in 2004 and after four years on the market Nissan will surely be looking to fend off a mid-life crisis for the model. Judging by this sole spyshot taken by the good folks at CarPix, we can confirm plans are well and truly in motion for a facelift for the 2009 model year.
Clearly by the heavy camoflage worn by this prototype the front end is set for some heavy modifications, but we expect more of the engineer's work to focus on the pick-up's powertrain. Power for the current model comes solely from a 317 horsepower 5.6 liter V8 petrol engine, but the engine range will be doubled for the facelift with the introduction of a diesel engine.

At the monthly Motor Press Guild meeting in LA for auto journalist, Press revealed that the next-generation Nissan Titan will indeed get the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine from the new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. The engine is capable of producing 380-hp.
The Titan will end production at Nissan’s Canton Miss., plant in 2010. The next-generation Titan will kick of production in early 2011 at Chrysler’s Saltillo, Mexico plant.
Nissan’s PR Senior Manager, John Schilling, contacted PickupTrucks.com, who reported the story, saying that no final decision has been made as of yet on the next-generation Titan’s engine and that the powertrain lineup is still up in the air.
We’re guessing Schilling just doesn’t want any info leaked on the next-generation Titan, especially news about HEMI power that may make Nissan look bad at a time where fuel-economy is the image automakers are pushing.
