للمعلوميه هناك اكثر من تقنيه للCVT
Nissan's CVT technology can be broken down into three distinctive groups.
1) FF/Small engine CVT. These are pretty much the same time used by other manufacturers. Can't handle too much torque.
2) FF/Large Engine CVT. This area is where Nissan shines. No other manufacturer has a CVT for FF application that can handle the torque output from a 3.0L+ engine.
3) FR/Toroid CVT. This is another specialty area. All other CVTs on the market is for FF application due to the nature of a CVT using belts to transfer power. This design features no belts at all. Big area of concern is the need of a special friction modified transmission fluid that resist shear loads, and it is the only way this transmission transmit power without tearing itself apart.
For all three groups, Nissan has for certain markets (or excludes certain markets) the preprogramed "gears/speed ratios". Example is the V35 Skyline 350GT8 with it's "Eight" speed CVT transmission.
