Trim Details: The 2002 GMC Yukon is available in two trims: 2WD and 4WD. The Yukon has dual front and side airbags, a 4-wheel disc anti-lock brake system (ABS), child safety locks and daytime running lights as standard safety equipment. A Vortec 4.8-liter V8 engine producing 275 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque powers the Yukon, with the option of upgrading with a Vortec 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 285 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. All Yukons feature an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with the exclusive tow/haul mode to reduce unwanted transmission shifting during heavy-load situations. Standard features include front and rear air conditioning, power automatic programmable door locks, electrochromic rearview mirror with compass and outside temperature display, AM/FM stereo CD, a 40/20/40 split-folding front bench seat, an aluminum liftgate, fog lights, power windows, a 6-way power-adjustable seats for driver and front passenger, 16-inch brushed aluminum wheels, and AutoTrac automatic 4WD on 4WD trims. The SLT package upgrades with an AM/FM stereo with CD and cassette, front high-back reclining bucket seats with adjustable lumbar support, electronic climate control, OnStar and Ultrasoft leather seat surfaces. Other available options include a power sunroof, heated front seats with driver's memory, Autoride computer-controlled suspension, polished aluminum wheels and a third-row removable bench seat.
